Sagarmatha Ins. Posted 4.27% profit rise in Q3; settles 80 claims out of total 2,000

Sagarmatha Insurance Company Limited (SIC) has reported 4.27% rise in the net profit for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2071/72 compare to the same period last year. The insurance company’s profit has increase from Rs 14.43 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2070/71 to Rs 15.05 crore in the Q3 of the current fiscal year.
The insurance company has managed to increase the number of its policy holders quite significantly. The number of policy holders grew to 36,560 in the Q3 of the ongoing fiscal year from 33,723 in the same period last year.
The company’s net earnings from premiums rose to Rs 39.63 crore from Rs 36.26 crore reported last year.
The company has a paid up capital of Rs 31 crore. Its EPS stands at Rs 48.55 and net worth per share at Rs 291.09.
An official with Sagarmatha Insurance said that the company has settled 80 claims so far, out of 2,000 claims, which were made after the devastating earthquake of April 25, 2015.
