RSP’s Jagadish Kharel Wins Lalitpur-2 HoR Seat by Wide Margin
Jagadish Kharel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected as the Member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Lalitpur Constituency No. 2 with a commanding margin of votes.
According to Lalitpur Constituency No. 2 Election Officer Samjana Simkhada Pudasaini, Kharel secured 39,941 votes in the election. His nearest rival, Prem Krishna Maharjan of the Nepali Congress, received 7,420 votes.
Likewise, Rajaram Tandukar of the Ujiyalo Nepal Party garnered 5,547 votes, while Prem Bahadur Maharjan of the CPN (UML) secured 4,536 votes.
In Lalitpur-2, which has a total of 89,082 registered voters, 61,975 voters cast their ballots in the election. Among them were 31,035 women and 30,940 men.
A total of 23 candidates, including those from various political parties and independent contenders, had competed in the election from this constituency.
