RSP Leads PR Vote Count as HoR Election Results Continue to Emerge

The counting of votes cast under the proportional representation (PR) system for the House of Representatives of Nepal elections is currently underway across the country.

As of 7:46 am today, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), which has so far won 125 seats, is leading the PR vote count by a wide margin. Out of the total 10,297,497 votes counted so far, the party has secured 4,951,964 votes.

Similarly, the Nepali Congress (NC) has obtained 1,674,940 votes, while the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) (CPN-UML) has garnered 1,390,293 votes. The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has secured 753,082 votes so far.

Among other parties, the Shram Sanskriti Party has collected 348,159 votes, followed by the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) with 322,604 votes.

According to updates from the Election Commission Nepal, the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal has secured 169,447 votes, while the Rastriya Pariwartan Party has received 165,069 votes. The Janamat Party has so far obtained 75,486 votes.

Meanwhile, under the direct electoral system, the Nepali Congress has been elected in 18 seats, followed by CPN-UML with nine seats and NCP with eight seats. The Shram Sanskriti Party has won three seats, while the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and an independent candidate have secured one seat each.
