RSP Candidates Secure Victories in Sarlahi-4 and Sarlahi-3

Candidates of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have secured victories in two constituencies of Sarlahi in the election to the House of Representatives (HoR).
Amresh Kumar Singh Defeats Gagan Thapa in Sarlahi-4
RSP candidate Amresh Kumar Singh defeated Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa to win the HoR seat from Sarlahi Constituency No. 4.
According to the final results announced earlier today, Singh secured 35,688 votes, while his closest rival Thapa received 22,838 votes.
CPN (UML) candidate Amanish Kumar Yadav obtained 9,343 votes, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) candidate Rajnish Ray Yadav received 1,401 votes, and Janmat Party candidate Rakesh Mishra garnered 1,572 votes, informed Election Officer Binod Prasad Ghimire.
Out of 121,120 registered voters, a total of 77,931 votes were cast in the constituency.
Narendra Sah Kalwar Wins Sarlahi-3
Similarly, RSP candidate Narendra Sah Kalwar has been elected as a Member of the House of Representatives from Sarlahi Constituency No. 3.
According to Election Officer Nawaraj Acharya, Kalwar secured 46,890 votes, while his nearest rival Narayan Kaji Shrestha of the Nepal Communist Party received 13,338 votes. Kalwar won the seat with a margin of 33,552 votes.
Likewise, CPN (UML) candidate Hari Prasad Upreti received 5,776 votes, Nepali Congress candidate Binod Khanal secured 6,624 votes, and Ujyalo Nepal Party candidate Tribhuvan Kumar Singh obtained 2,622 votes.
Kalwar succeeded in his third attempt to enter the House of Representatives. He had previously served as a proportional representative in the second Constituent Assembly. In 2074 BS, he had contested the election as an independent candidate, and later ran from the CPN (Maoist Centre) in 2079 BS, but was unsuccessful on both occasions.
In Sarlahi-3, which has 134,412 registered voters, a total of 82,272 votes were cast in the election.
