RMDC Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd, has interacted with leaders & officials of cooperatives in jhapa districts on the issues of financial accessibility to poor & capacity building for cooperative on 22^nd Falgun, 2076. The interaction program was organized by Jhapa District Cooperative Federation with financial and technical support of RMDC.  More than 100 participants from 47 cooperative participated in the interaction program.  Mr. Ganesh Dhakal chairman of Jhapa District Cooperative Federation chaired the program where Chief Guest was honourable Minister Shree Hikmat Karki Ministry of Federal Affairs & General Administration Providence no 1, Mr. Jyoti Chandra Ojha, CEO of RMDC, Mr. Mahendra Giri Directors of National Cooperative Bank, Mrs. Durga Sapkota Chairman of CIA, Mr. Pritha Bdr. Thapa Senior Manager of RMDC were other guest during the program.

Mr. Bhawani Dangal Co Secretary of Jhapa District Federation of Cooperative Jhapa welcomed to the participants for their participation and also expressed his views on the importance of cooperatives in permeating financial services to the poor and the role that RMDC can play being the partner of those cooperatives. Mr. Jyoti Chandra Ojha, CEO of RMDC also welcomed to the participants and expressed his willingness to work together with the cooperatives in enterprise creation and financial access to the rural areas. He also expressed his views on the importance of cooperatives in permeating financial services to the poor and the role that RMDC can play being the partner of those cooperatives. Chief Guest Honourable Minister Shree Hikmat Karki Ministry of Federal Affairs & General Administration Providence no 1 also express the important role of cooperative for entire development of financial accessibility, financial development, betterment of community as well as reducing poverty. He express his best wiliness for achieve mission through this program and province government also want to work tougher for development of cooperative as well as community.

Mr. Pirtha Bahadur Thapa, Senior Manager of RMDC, presented the proposition of it's inception followed by it's mission, vision and goal. He also had discussed working methodology of RMDC. Participants were informed about the procedure of capacity building through training and exposure visits, consultation services through regular supervision/monitoring and different credit facilities that RMDC offers to it's partners.

RMDC has been working in institutional development and capacity enhancement of rural cooperatives and providing wholesale fund for them. Speaking in the event Mr. Thapa explained about the service of RMDC and said its strict and regular monitoring of partner organization helped to improve the quality of services of the cooperatives in one hand and improved the good governance and business on the other. Participants from different cooperatives also discussed on many issues relating to malpractices and unhealthy competition as well as current issues and challenges of cooperative.  

Mr. Dill Kumar Rai, Sr. Manager of Karnali SCO and Mr. Khagendra Prasad Bhandari, Manager of Indreani Multipurpose Cooperative shared experience on cooperatives and benefits of external borrowing in the case of proper utilization. Mr. Kamal Ghimire and Mrs. Chandra Kala Dhakal Manager of cooperative also express their willingness for partnership with RMDC.  The interaction program was signed off by Mr. Ganesh Dhakal with his closing remarks addressing Role and importance of RMDC for development of cooperative.  Express wiliness for institutional partnership with RMDC for development of cooperative at Jhapa.
