Rise in profit of United Modi Hydropower by 24.09%; Butwal Power reports modest growth in profit by 12.78%

United Modi  Hydropower Limited (UMHL) has posted a net profit rise of 24.09% percent in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year 2073/74. According to the unaudited financial report published today, its net profit after income tax has increased to Rs 4.88 crore in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2073/74 from Rs 3.93 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year 2072/73. UMHL made regular income of Rs 30.14 crore by the end of the fourth quarter rising from Rs 27.48 crore in the corresponding quarter — rise by 9.6%. Its reserve fund amounts to Rs 6.24 crore from Rs 1.35 crore. UMHL’s earnings per share (EPS) stands at Rs 4.24, its net worth per share is at Rs 105.42 and P/E ratio stands at 80.35 times. UMHL is newly listed company in NEPSE whose earnings and reserves are positive. Likewise, Butwal Power Company Limited(BPCL) has posted a net profit rise of 12.74% percent in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year 2073/74. According to the unaudited financial report published today, its net profit after income tax has increased to Rs 64.93 crore in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2073/74 from Rs 57.59 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year 2072/73. BPCL made regular income of Rs 68.21 crore from electricity sales and services by the end of the fourth quarter rising from Rs 61.71 crore in the corresponding quarter — rise by 10.53%. Its reserve fund amounts to Rs 2.30 arba from Rs 1.97 arba. BPCL’s  earnings per share (EPS) stands at Rs 35.86, its net worth per share is at Rs 227.33 and P/E ratio stands at 17.29 times. BPCL is issuing FPO at Rs 470.
