Ridi Hydropower earns Rs 1.95 cr in Q4; reserve fund increases to Rs 4.77 cr from 1.15cr

Ridi Hydropower Development Company Limited (RHPC) has posted a net profit of Rs 1.95 crore in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year 2071/72.
Publishing the unaudited financial report for the fourth quarter today, the subsidiary of Arun Valley Hydropower Development Committee (AHPC) has stated that its net profit has risen to Rs 1.95 crore by the quarter end, up from the net loss of Rs 1.59 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Ridi’s income from power sales decreased from 1.35 crore in the previous year report to Rs 1.04 crore in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2071/72. While its income from other sources rose to Rs 1.55 crore in the Q4 from Rs 1.30 lakh.
The company’s operating profit has surged to Rs 2.30 crore in Q4 up from Rs 1.15 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year.
A positive aspect of the financial report is that its reserve fund has risen to Rs 4.77 crore in the fourth quarter report up from Rs 1.07 crore in the FY 2070/71.
The Hydropower Company has made investment of Rs 3.16 crore. Its share Capital remains at Rs 33 crore.
Its EPS stands at Rs 6.37, net worth per share is at Rs 114.85 and P/E ratio at 63.58 times.
RHPC is operating a 2400kW Ridi khola Small Hydropower Project at Ruru VDC of Gulmi district, Western Development Region of Nepal. It has been developed as an umbrella company of Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited that has already built and operating a 3MW Piluwakhola Project in Eastern Nepal. The company is planning to develop other hydropower projects in future.
Earlier, The Company had distributed 10 percent bonus shares from the profit it made in 2070/71 FY to its shareholders. Its last trading price stood at Rs 404 yesterday, i.e. August 11.
