Request of CDSC to Sell Shares Only Based on Free Balance, as Withheld Shares Will Not be Cleared

The Central Depository System (CDSC) has requested that only shares owned by investors be sold. CDS and Clearing Limited advise investors not to sell shares that are withheld for various reasons.

"Securities in the investor's beneficiary account may be blocked for various reasons, and if the blocked securities cannot be sold in the secondary market and are not transferred during clearing and clearing, there is a problem of closing out. Therefore, we kindly request all investors to ensure that they are eligible to sell the securities they own before proceeding with any sale," stated the CDS in a notification.

The CDSC has also provided guidance on how to determine which shares are eligible for sell. "Only securities in the free balance shown on the My Shares page are available for sell, and all relevant parties are advised to proceed accordingly," the notification states.
