Radisson gets new GM

Radisson Hotel Kathmandu has announced appointment of Janet Fitzner to position of general manager. With a long and distinguished career in hospitality, Fitzner brings 26 years of international experience, as per press statement. Fitzner, a German national, started her hospitality career in 1988 at Inter-Continental, Cologne, and joined Rezidor in 1992 as director of sales and marketing at Radisson SAS Hotel in Dusseldorf. She then took on role of GM at Radisson SAS Hotel in Hannover in 2000. She became hotel manager in Hamburg at Radisson SAS until 2003 when she left to spend six years in Poland. She was general manager at Radisson SAS Hotel Szczecin until 2006, when she became general manager at Radisson Blu Centrum Hotel, Warsaw, and in 2007 was promoted to district director Poland. In 2010, Fitzner relocated to UAE where she spent three years as GM at Radisson Deira Creek, Dubai and two years as GM of Radisson Blu Resort Fujairah.
