Preparations intensified to sign labor pacts with main labor destinations

KATHMANDU, July 17:

The government has intensified preparations to enter into labor agreement with the major labor destinations for Nepali migrant workers.

The government was in the final phase of signing a bilateral agreement with Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to supply domestic workers and with other countries to send laborers to other major labor destinations, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).

Shankardas Bairagi, Acting Secretary of MoFA, shared that the Ministry had already directed the concerned Nepali missions in six Gulf countries and Malaysia to implement the government's decision to send Nepali laborers to these countries at the minimum cost.

He further said that all the Nepali missions abroad have been activated to bringing in more foreign investment and to promote tourism as well to carry out due preparations to hold the Investment Conference. RSS
