PM Deuba Marks Beginning of Smart Revenue Payment System in Lalitpur

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has marked the beginning of the ‘Smart Revenue Payment System’ in the Lalitpur Metropolitan City.

At a program organized on the Establishment Day of the Lalitpur Metropolitan City on Saturday, PM Deuba marked the beginning of a revenue payment system through Fonepay under the smart service of the metropolitan city.

On the occasion, PM Deuba expressed the confidence that collective efforts of people’s representatives and officials will be there to keep the historical, religious, and cultural pride of the city everlasting. 

The Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Chiribabu Maharjan said that the city has given special priority to the protection and promotion of arts and cultures. 

Likewise, Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balendra Shah said he was willing to establish cooperation with the Lalitpur Metropolitan City for mutual interests adding that the two cities were enjoying friendly ties.

Shah also praised the roles played by the Lalitpur Metropolitan City for the preservation of the culture, heritage, and civilization of the town. “This is very praiseworthy. We also need to learn from here in the future.”

Similarly, newly-elected Member of Parliament from Lalitpur-3 Dr. Tosima Karki thanked the Lalitpur Metropolitan City for advancing development efforts by maintaining a balance between the modernity and uniqueness of the city.

During the program, the Lalitpur Metropolitan City awarded five litterateurs, artists, and social workers with ‘Lalitpur Gaurav’ by awarding them Rs 100,000 each.
