The passion to run a successful hotel drove Nishant Jogai to join forces with South Asia’s & India’s largest hotel chain - OYO Hotels & Homes. With his entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit, he worked closely with OYO team who helped him standardize his existing hotel to result in OYO 11474 Gangaur Regency Boutique Hotel.

Mr. Nishant Jogai, Owner of OYO 11474 Gangaur Regency Boutique Hotel stumbled on to his hotel business while having a spare land to exploit. With no relevant hospitality experience to run a hotel, Mr Jogai faced many hurdles in setting up his business. After 3 months of his hotel inauguration, he was approached by OYO and was impressed with its business model. Speaking about his experience, Nishant Jogai says, “This is my second year with OYO. What I appreciate the most about OYO is the prompt help I receive from  its team whenever I need their assistance. They are also providing trainings to my staff regularly. Another factor I appreciate is the owner app which has made it easier to know the happenings of the hotel when I am on the go. Occupancy has rocketed and I am so pleased with the revenue generated. All in all I would say I am a satisfied asset owner with OYO.”

OYO Hotels and Homes, ever since its operation, has revolutionized the hospitality industry by offering great customer experience and creating micro-entrepreneurs in Nepal. While the guests receive quality-ensured, standardized accomodations in extraordinarily affordable prices, OYO has given an opportunity to asset owners  to run a viable business by providing technology, training to the staff, reach and branding. The operational assistance and management services through Co-OYO app for asset owners provides complete visibility on all business & customer metrics. The app enables asset owners to have complete visibility on cash flows, business performance, pricing, customer reviews and recommendations. The app also helps to enhance the quality of standalone hotels and improves occupancy from 25% to 65% on an average, increasing the yield on underutilized assets for asset owners.

Another asset owner, Mr. Prajwal Shrestha who owns OYO 174 Shiv Shanker Hotel is a seasoned hospitality professional who started his journey 12 years back following his interest in this sector. He is currently successfully running 4 hotels in Kathmandu and one in Pokhara. Mr. Shrestha’s journey started with OYO a year back. On his association with OYO, Mr. Shrestha said, “The charm of hospitality sector dragged me into this industry but the management of hotels is never easy. I even don’t have proper knowledge to manage bookings. OYO has solved my problems through its booking app and owner app. The staff trainings provided by OYO have helped us understand about guest requirements and be conscious about small things that make an impact to them (which we used to neglect in the past). We are now conscious about every details such as  the quality of mattress and other amenities. OYO has helped us change the traditional way of managing rooms for guests and we have learned to maintain standardization from OYO, which has also in-return increased our occupancy.”

OYO 160 Hotel Sharaddha Palace of Gaushala, Kathmandu is now experiencing guest delight with satisfied customers. The hotel which started a long time back when there used to be only a few hotels was always doing relatively well. However, the hotel was facing a difficulty to raise standards and quality of services. OYO Hotels and Homes came up as that competitive advantage he was looking for. Mr. Sujan expressed that his business experienced more improvement in terms of basic skills, technology and standardization after partnering with OYO. Mr. Khadka shared, “OYO has helped us to make our business more effective through staff training and modern technologies. OYO is an internationally renowned brand which has helped us to be recognized in a much larger platform. Besides that OYO has also helped in customer retention.”

Mr. Rajendra Ranabhat - Owner of OYO 11454 Hotel Garuda Inn was able to restart his hotel business when OYO entered Nepalese hospitality industry. Mr. Ranabhat who quit his job to run his own hotel business had to shut down entire business when a massive earthquake hit Nepal in 2017. Mr. Rajendra was inspired by the unique concept of OYO which helped him increase the occupancy as well as revenue. Mr. Rajendra Ranabhat shared, “Customer satisfaction at our hotel is high now. The timely training that is provided by OYO to our staff has helped us from the ground level up. Prior OYO, we experienced overbooking which is now easily managed through OYO app.”
