NRB to auction T-bill worth Rs. 4.26 arba; Maturities of 91 days and 1 year being auctioned

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is issuing T-bill worth Rs.4 arba 26 crore on Tuesday Bhadra 24, 2076. These t-bills are being auctioned today till 3:00 PM. NRB is issuing the bill with two different maturities; 91 days and 1 year.

The T-bill with 1 year maturity period worth Rs.2 arba will mature on 23 Bhadra, 2077 whereas the 91 days T-bills worth Rs.2 arba 26 crore will mature on 24 Mangsir, 2076.

The T-bills can be used for calculation of regulatory ratios, Standing Liquidity Facility (SLF), inter-bank transaction and it can also be used as collateral by individuals to take loan.

All bank and financial institutions, organizations along with the individuals can participate in the auction. In the auction, the party bidding with the highest price is prioritized first and so on in descending order.

Out of the total offered amount, 15% is reserved for non-competitive bidders.
