NRB issuing ‘Foreign Employment Saving Bond 2078 Kha’ worth Rs 50 crore from today

Nepal Rastra Bank is issuing “Foreign Employment Saving Bond 2078 Kha” worth Rs 50 crore from today (Magh 17, 2073).
The foreign employment bond is targeted at Nepali migrant workers and non-resident Nepalese (NRNs) across the globe. Also, Nepalese working abroad who have returned to the country and have been here for less than four months can subscribe to the bond issue.
The issue will close on Falgun 17, 2073.
Interested Parties can file for bonds worth minimum Rs 5,000 and maximum bonds worth an amount not exceeding the size of total issue and divisible by 5,000 without remainder.
The bond is being offered at an interest rate of 10 percent per annum. The payout of interest amount will be done in every six months.
Similarly, the bonds can be used as collateral to take loans from banks and financial institutions.
