NRB Directs Banks to Ensure Essential Banking Services in Flood-Affected Districts

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed concerned stakeholders to ensure the availability of essential banking services in districts affected by natural disasters, including Rasuwa, to support ongoing rescue and relief operations.

Issuing a notice, the central bank stated that necessary arrangements should be made to keep essential banking services operational from Bhadra 23, 2083.

NRB has also instructed concerned authorities and stakeholders to inform the public through appropriate channels about the availability of these banking services.

The measure has been introduced to facilitate the distribution of relief and rescue operations for people affected by the recent natural disasters in Rasuwa and other districts.
