NOC raises fuel prices

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has raised the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 1 per litre, effective from Friday. With the revised rates, petrol now costs Rs 110 per litre, while diesel and kerosene cost Rs 87.50 per litre each. NOC Spokesperson Mukunda Ghimire said the prices were raised in line with the new rates received from Indian Oil Corporation, NOC’s sole supplier. With this, NOC’s loss in the cooking gas business has increased by Rs 10 per cylinder to Rs 48.08, it said. Ghimire said they were yet to calculate profit.
