NOC Hikes Petrol by Rs 15 and Diesel by Rs 10 Amid Rising International Fuel Prices
The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the prices of petroleum products, effective from midnight today. According to the NOC, the price of petrol has been raised by Rs 15 per litre, while diesel and kerosene have gone up by Rs 10 per litre.
Following the hike, consumers in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal will now pay Rs 172 per litre for petrol and Rs 152 per litre for diesel and kerosene.
In a statement issued this evening, the NOC explained that the rate adjustment was necessary due to an increase in fuel prices in the new supplies received from the Indian Oil Corporation. The corporation added that the unusual surge in international petroleum prices has created a challenging situation for domestic supply.
The NOC urged consumers for their understanding and continued support, emphasizing that the price adjustment is aimed at maintaining a stable fuel supply in Nepal under the current global market conditions.
