NMB Micro Finance conducts financial literacy training at a remote village in Rukum

With an intention to impart banking education to people in remote villages, NMB Micro Finance conducted two day program at Khola gaau and Jhulneta in Rukum for 140 people. 111 As per the press release, at the end of the program the participants acknowledged that they learned about why to save, how to save and many other financial institution related questions. They further added that for people who wanted to start something in their own place but lacked resources are now endowed with funds at lower interest rates and without collateral. This has helped them a lot to become financially independent, the report says. The program carried out for two days involved various sessions describing meaning of saving, its importance, ways to save, importance of loan, how to utilize that loan and how to obtain maximum benefits from the funds obtained. In addition to these, they were also informed of the services provided by the banks, insurance and financial institutions.
