NMB Capital Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Deepesh Kumar Vaidya has called for wider policy provisions and regulatory reforms to facilitate the participation of Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) in Nepal’s capital market.

Speaking at a session titled “Technology and Innovation: The Future of Nepal’s Capital Market,” Vaidya emphasized the importance of attracting investment from NRNs to support the development and expansion of Nepal’s capital market.

Vaidya said NMB Capital is prepared to provide services to NRN investors but noted that certain policy-level reforms and an expansion of the regulatory framework by the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) are necessary to facilitate their participation.

He further stressed that both technological advancement and policy improvements are essential to make Nepal’s capital market more dynamic, accessible, and attractive to investors.
