Nirdhan Utthan to open 5 branch offices

KATHMANDU, July 22:

Nirdhan Utthan Bank Limited (NUBL) and Sakchyam signed an agreement on Wednesday for a partnership aiming to increase access to finance in remote hills and mountain areas of Nepal and adoption of new technologies for financial inclusion.

As per the agreement, Nirdhan Uthan Bank will open new bank branch offices in Achham, Bajhang, Darchula, Mugu and Humla, pilot the use of Point of Sale (POS) devices by NUBL loan officers and use loan officers to add more clients to the NUBL financial service program upon the Sakchyam's technical support and challenge fund partnership, a press release issued on Wednesday said.
