NIC Asia Bank opens its merchant banking wing NIC Asia Capital
NIC Asia Capital Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NIC Asia Bank Limited, was formally launched amidst a ceremony in Hotel Annapurna, Kathmandu yesterday. The merchant banking company was inaugurated by Dr. Rewat Bahadur Karki, Chairman of Securities Board of Nepal and Mr. Jagadish Agrawal, Chairman of NIC Asia Bank.
During the ceremony, Mr. Laxman Risal, CEO of the bank said that the bank will further be opening microfinance institution and mutual fund soon. Dr. Karki, chairman of SEBON, instructed the directors of the capital to provide competent services to its clients. The board is also studying for the increment of capital of all merchant bankers, added Dr. Karki.
NIC Asia Capital Limited will be providing various services like issue management, underwriting, RTS services and portfolio management to its clients. It is a fully owned subsidiary of NIC Asia Bank with a paid up capital of Rs 10 crore. Its head office is located in Babarmahal, Kathmandu.
