Sharesansar, 16th November:

This week, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) plummeted by 1.66 or 0.34% points as compared to previous week’s closing. As the market had made a huge surge in the previous week, the investors started to book their profit from the initial trading day of this week resulting in the correction of 7.01 points in the first day. But in the second day, the improvement in the Banking sector helped to rebound the Nepse back to 480.84 level.

Though the market remained closed for three days because of the Tihar festival, the turnover amount was still impressive. The two days total turnover amount stood around Rs 214.50 million with a daily average of Rs 107.25 million which indicates the increase in the buyers and sellers in the secondary market of the Nepal. With the investors’ eyeing on the government decision to bring the budget in spite of different views of the President and opposition parties, the outcome of this political scenario will surely direct the path for Nepse movement for the upcoming days. If the government is able to bring the full budget then surely the Nepse will have better days ahead but if the government fails then there is high chance of Nepse sliding back.

Apart from the investors’ reaction towards Budget, the response towards the first quarterly report of most of the listed companies published during the holidays will also surely going to impact the Nepse movement in the next week trade.
