NEPSE Witnesses a Small Uptick; Closes at 1425.32; Total Turnover Rs. 95.19 crores

The stock market showed a bullish uptick today, closing at 1,425.32, a small 1.51 points (0.11%) up from yesterday's close.

A total of 3,032,311 shares were traded amounting to Rs. 951,960,208 in turnover amount. 188 scrips were traded via 20,719 transactions.

Overall 13.6 points volatility was witnessed today, wherein the highest point was 1427.15 and the lowest was 1413.55. 

United Insurance Company (Nepal) Limited (UIC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 6.2 crores, while Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) had the second-highest turnover of Rs. 6.03 crores. As a matter of fact, United Insurance Company (Nepal) Limited also had the most shares traded for today.

Float is up by 0.13 points and is currently at 99.98. On the other hand, the Sensitive Index is currently at 297.29 after gaining 0.02 points from the previous close.

Sadhana Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SDLBSL) and Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) hit a 10% positive circuit today.

On the other side, Union Hydropower Company Limited (UNHPL) lost the most 6.45% while closing at Rs. 58 per unit.

Six sectors lost today while six others ended green. Finance lost the most 0.66% and Mutual Fund gained the most 0.88%.
