NEPSE witnessed highest turnover ever of Rs 130 crores amid volatility of 40 points

The total turnover of the day crossed Rs 130 crore and stood at all-time high of Rs 130.49 million where more than 22 lakh unit shares were traded.

Last time highest turnover was of Rs 120.31 crore on July 21, 2014.

After touching the level of 1085, NEPSE index closed below the previous day closing recording plunge of 0.72 percent and settled at 1046.40 level.

Maximum investors booked profit today where the share price of NABIL, KBBL, ACEDBL, KKBL and ILFC surged more than 9 percent.

Today’s market was very volatile as vast fluctuation were seen in the share price of most of the companies.

EBL and NABIL were traded of more than 12 crore and 10 crore respectively.

Out of 147 scrips traded today, price of 7 companies moved up more than 9 percent.

However share price of SRBL, VBBL, EKBL, SUPREME, EIC and JBBL fell down by more than 9 percent.

Highlights of Market throughout the day:

2:45 PM : The turnover till now is at all-time high at Rs 121.60 crore where as NEPSE index is at 1048.45 level.
 
Highest turnover before this was of Rs 120.31 crore on July 21, 2014.

2:00 PM, The benchmark index is at 1056.96 level whereas the total turnover till now has amounted more than Rs 98 crore.

1:17 PM : The local bourse is at 1066.38 level. Total Turnover as reached above 67 crore.

More than 11 lakh shares has been traded till now. EBL, GBIME, SCB and NICA are maximum traded shares.

Among the top gainers, share price of NABIL, SCB, SBI, ILFC and NIB has surged more than 9 percent.

VBBL, ADBL, CHCL and NBL are among the top losers.
 
12:43 PM: The benchmark index is at 1055 level whereas turnover has reached above Rs 36 crore.
