NEPSE up by 9.81 points; closes at 969.05 level

The benchmark index on Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) surged by 9.81 points or 1.02 percent to close at 969.05 level.

The local bourse opened at 959.30 level this afternoon and dropped meager to 956.44 level in the initial hour and there after moved up to 969.05 level at closing.

Market has absorbed the political effects and will head upward in coming days, which was also explained earlier by one of the technical analyst of market Mr. Sagun Shakya in “Market is in bull-run & the current trend is positive”.

Among the sub-indices, Banking, Insurance and Hotels moved up by double digit of 13.28 points, 12.66 points and 13.72 points to close at 854.05, 4154.93 and 2117 levels respectively.

Development and Finance 8.72 points and 1.66 point respectively. Others gained 5.87 points.

HydroPower and Manufacturing plunged 1.1 point and 17 points respectively.

Total turnover today was Rs 1083 million where as only of Rs 819.38 million was manual turnover which included Rs 820.12 million transaction of Nepal Investment bank promoter shares.

Altogether 2,690,652 unit shares of 139 companies were traded through 2,497 transactions.
