NEPSE up by 9.71 points; closes above 937 level

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) stepped up by 9.68 points or 1.04 percent to close at 937.48 level.
The local bourse climbed up hill throughout the trading day with minor plunge at the mid-trading hour.
The total turnover has also surged by more than Rs 11 million than yesterday’s total of Rs 220 million.
Among the sub-indices, Banking, Development and Finance went up by 5.1 points, 3.74 points and 14.23 points respectively. Insurance surged triple digit of 111.93 points.
Hotels and HydroPower has risen by 42.06 points and 5.69 points respectively.
Similarly Manufacturing and Others managed to land in green by gaining 14.66 points and 5.87 points respectively.
On the contrary, Trading went down by 2.03 points.
Altogether 528,416 unit shares of 132 companies were traded today through 1,817 transactions worth Rs 232.21 million.
