NEPSE up by 4.1 points; Insurance index gains triple digits

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) gained 4.1 points or 0.4 percent to close at 1034.02 level.

Insurance sector gained maximum today by 130.71 points or 3.03 percent to close at 4441.23 level where share price of insurance companies like NLIC, NIL, LGIL and PLIC surged maximum today.

Opening at 1029 level this afternoon, the local bourse dipped down to 1024 till the mid-trading hour and thereafter surged up to 1034.02 level till closing.

Total turnover of the day stood at Rs 39.82 crore where more than 9 lakh shares of 147 companies were traded through 3644 transactions.

Maximum trading were done of HBL, NLICL, EBL, NABIL, PCBL, NLIC, CZBIL and NIB.

Banking, Hotels and Finance gained meager points whereas Development, HydroPower and Others landed in red today.

Share Price of UFL, HBL, SFFIL and NLIC surged more than 4 percent whereas IDBL, NICL, SDBL, MTBL and TNBL plunged maximum today.
