NEPSE up by 3.62 points; Turnover above Rs 200 million

NEPSE index moved up by 3.62 points or 0.39 percent to close at 926.09 level today.

Similarly Sensitive and Float also gained 0.57 and 0.29 points to stand at 197.99 and 66.06 levels respectively.

Opening at 922.47 level this afternoon, the local bourse moved within the corridor of 926 and 922 throughout the day.

HydroPower was the only sector to land in green today recording plunge of meager 0.65 point or 2067.56 level.

Banking (812.68), Development (765.33) and Finance (518.17) gained 1.54 point, 0.42 point and 0.09 point respectively.

Insurance (3877.85) and Others (722.53) gained 74.94 and 2.35 points respectively.

Altogether 548,311 unit shares of of 126 companies were traded through 1,385 transactions worth Rs 204.41 million.

NCCB, NLIC and PLIC were among the most traded shares.

Share Price of LGIL, SIL, SLICL, NIL, SETI and GLICL surged more than 5 percent today.
