NEPSE up by 1.8 points; closes at 986.02 level

The benchmark index started the week with surge of 1.8 points or 0.18 percent to close at 986.02 level.

Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float moved up by 0.23 point and 0.17 point to settle at 210.46 and 68.89 levels.

The local bourse opened at 984.33 level this afternoon and dipped down to 980 till mid-trading hour and thereafter gained points to close at 986.02 level.

Banking sector made gain of 2.23 points or 0.26 percent by closing at 871.92 level.

Finance (526.02) and Insurance (4142.63) surged by 1.63 point and 21.14 points respectively.

Manufacturing went up by 6.4 points to stand at 1411.88 level.

Hotels and Development plunged by 8.47 points and 3.09 points respectively, whereas others managed to remain at 761.29 level.

Altogether 572,024 unit shares of 148 companies were traded through 2,640 transactions worth Rs 273.01 million.
