NEPSE up by 1.53 points; NLICL among the top traded shares

Gaining meager 1.53 points or 0.16 percent, the local bourse closed at 944.96 level.

The total turnover of the day stood at Rs 261.02 million where 394,030 unit shares of 118 companies were traded.

The benchmark index remained within the corridor of 1 point throughout the day before closing at 944.96 level.

Trading if NLICL were done maximum today amounting Rs 47.34 million which is more than 18 percent of the total turnover.

Trading of EBL was done of more than Rs 16.02 million. The news of bonus and right issue by Chhimek Laghubitta led its share price surge up to Rs 1868 where more than Rs 14.18 million amounting shares were traded today,

As of today, maximum shares of Commercial banks, Development banks and Insurance Companies were traded worth Rs 87.43 million, Rs 70.04 million and Rs 66.90 million respectively.

Among the sub-indices, Banking, Trading and Hotels Index landed in red today. Development index and Manufacturing index gained maximum points.

Share Price of FMDBL and MLBBL gained 10 percent. LLBS, SMFDB, GABL and KMCDB gained more than 5 percent.

SIFC, JBBL and SEWA were among the top losers of the day.
