NEPSE trading resumes after two hours delay; trading time extended till 5 PM

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has issued a notice regarding delaying of trading of shares today. The trading time has been extended till 5PM today. The trading was supposed to start at 11:00 AM but due to the issues after fire in NEPSE office, it started on 12:55 PM. Murahari, Parajuli, Spokeperson of NEPSE said, the trading time has been extended for 2 hours. Today the market will close at 5 PM. As per the notice published in NEPSE, Fire broke out at Nepal Stock Exchange’s office yesterday at 9:30 PM as a result of power surge. The short circuit was occurred in Ownership Transfer department, first floor. As a result, the fire has fully damaged the whole department. The fire brigade handled the situation timely and there was less effect in NEPSE server and system. The board at NEPSE has formed a committee to investigate about the event.
