The Government of Nepal has announced a public holiday for Wednesday (today), the 4th Chaitra, 2082, during the 'Ghode Jatra.'
Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) will remain closed to mark Ghode Jatra. Regular trading will resume on Thursday (Chaitra 05, 2082) at 11:00 a.m.
Ghode Jatra is a traditional festival celebrated in Kathmandu with thrilling horse parades and races at Tundikhel. It is observed to ward off evil spirits and honor ancient legends, bringing together culture, history, and vibrant festivities.
