NEPSE Takes Double Digit Beating Again, Rs. 11.43 Kharba Worth of Investment Wiped Out From All-Time High

The NEPSE index closed at 2,343.87 today after losing 41.77 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.75%. The index had lost 29.60 points yesterday. With this, Rs. 11.43 Kharba worth of investment value has been wiped out from the all-time high of 3,198.60 created on 18th August, 2021.

The index opened at 2386.66 points today and made an intraday high at 2387.12. It then made the intraday low at 2,342.04 and closed at 2,343.87. This is the lowest closing since 12th December, 2021. A total of 84 companies are also trading at or very near their 52-weeks low. 

229 scrips traded hands via 31,825 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 3,876,302 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.530 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs.1.440 Arba.

Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 4.96 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 956 per share. The shares of Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA) traded the most.


NESDO Sambridha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NESDO) gained 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker for the day.

 

On the other side of things, NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) lost the highest 8.33% today.

 

All the sectors closed red, with "Finance" losing the highest 3.44% and "Trading" losing the least 0.53%.
