NEPSE steps up 6.43 points on the last trading day of week

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) surged 5.38 points or 0.66 percent on the last trading day of this week to close at 930.97 level.
The local Bourse opened at 924.34 level this afternoon and moved up to intraday high of 935.23 mark till the mid trading hours amid the increase in buying investors seeing the upward trend in the index.
However the surge in the investors who wanted to book profit there after led the benchmark index roll down to 930.97 till the end.
The total turnover stood around Rs 334.05 million, amounting gain of Rs 74 million, compared to yesterday’s total of Rs 260.08 million. Altogether 1,519,491 unit shares of 145 companies were traded through 2,420 transaction worth Rs 334.05 million including manual turnover of Rs 52 million.

Among the sub-indices, Banking gained 5.38 points or 0.66 percent to close at 891.83 level amid the surge in share price of Nepal Credit And Com. Bank by Rs 35.
Development and Finance moved up by 7.47 points and 2.71 points respectively. Hotels, HydroPower and Insurance increased by double digit of 33.33 points, 12.09 points and 30.5 points respectively.
Manufacturing and Others booked gain of 11.4 points and 2.35 points respectively.
Share Price of companies like Himalayan Distillery, Tourism Development bank, Nagbeli Laghubitta, Laxmi Laghubitta and Kalinchowk Bikash Bank surged maximum today.
Whereas Unique Finance, Yeti Development and City Development were among the top losers of the day.
