NEPSE Stands at 2,088.16 Level After Double Digit Loss of 44.80 Points; All Sector Indices Closed Red

The NEPSE index closed at 2,088.16 today after losing 44.80 points from yesterday's closing. This is a loss of 2.10%. The index had gained 54.45 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,134.94 points and went intraday high at 2,141.61. The index went intraday low at 2,085.83 and ultimately closed at 2,088.16.

222 scrips traded hands via 60,517 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 8,740,551 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.704 Arba in the turnover amount. This is a lot higher than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 4.106 Arba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 19.36 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 811 per share. The shares of Arun Kabeli Power Ltd. (AKPL) traded the most.

Multipurpose Finance Company Limited (MPFL) gained the highest for the day with 9.32.

On the other side of things, Ganapati Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GMFBS) lost the highest 6.82% today.

All sector indices closed red, "Others" lost the highest 3.56 % while "Mutual Fund" lost the least 1.23%.
