NEPSE stands at 1,239.26 points losing 1.93 points; Market ends with meager transaction of Rs 29.90 crore

The market index in Nepal Stock Exchange has lost 1.93 points as the end of the trading period. The market which started at 1,241.19 points has closed at 1,239.26 losing 0.16%.

During the day, more than 9.47 lakh units shares were traded. The total turnover of the day was above meager Rs 29.90 crore.

                

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 2.35 crore worth of shares were exchanged during the day. Similarly, the shares of Best Finance Company Promoter Share (BFCPO) were ahead in terms of units of stock traded as more than 1.50 lakh units of the scrip were traded.  

                       

              

The shareholders of Unnati Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (UMB) gained the most today as the price of the share increased by 9.95% to close at Rs 1,905. Likewise, the shareholders of Kabeli Bikas Bank Limited (KEBL) lost the most today as the price of the stock decreased by 15 points to close at Rs 230.

               

              

The sensitive index and float index ended losing 0.64 points and 0.15 points respectively.

Out of all the sub-indices, only Finance, Insurance and Manufacturing & Production landed in the green zone today. Manufacturing & Production sector gained the most i.e. 5.12 points while Hotels sector lost the most i.e. 14.59 points.
