NEPSE soars up by 12.00 points; rests at 1443.80 points with turnover above 46 Crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has increased today by 12.00 points or 0.84% to close at 1443.80 points.
NEPSE had opened at 1431.80 points and it continued to rise till it reached 1448.74 after which the market calmed down for a while. At the end of the day, the index ended gaining 12.00 points.
The total turnover of the day was over Rs 46.46 crore where more than 8.5 lakh units of shares were exchanged through 4,454 transactions.
Like yesterday, Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) stood ahead in terms of total turnover for the day with its total transactions exceeding over 8.26 crore. 76,773 shares of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB) were traded today, making it the most traded scripts.
Multipurpose Finance Company Limited (MPFL) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 9.06% to Rs 373. Likewise, NIBL Pragati Fund (NIBLPF) was the top loser as its value decreased by 5.5% to Rs 9.45.
Both the Sensitive and Float index moved up by 2.79 points and 0.75 points respectively. today
The indices of all the trading groups except the Hotels showed an upward movement and landed in green today. Insurance sector gained 122.16 points and stood as the top gainers which was followed by Others sub-indices. Hotels was the only group which landed in red today whose value decreased by 17.37 points.
