NEPSE Slumps Below 2000 To Close at 1991.71 Levels; GUFL Sees Highest Turnover Among All Scrips

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a loss of 0.73%, or 14.81 points, settling at 1,991.71 points at the close of trading today, following a loss of 16.82 points in the previous session.

Opening at 2,004.97, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,004.96 before dipping to an intraday low of 1,988.19.

With a bustling trading environment, 312 different stocks were exchanged in 39,476 transactions. The total volume of shares traded stood at 5,471,068, reflecting a total turnover of Rs. 2.10 Arba. The market capitalization closed at Rs. 31.58 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.67 Kharba.

 

Gurkhas Finance Ltd. (GUFL) emerged as the highlight of the day with a turnover of Rs. 17.59 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 905.00.

 

Similarly, 10.75% SBL Debenture 2089 (SBLD89) showed the highest gain of 9.99%, followed by Gurkhas Finance Ltd. (GUFL) with a gain of 9.96%.

 

Conversely, Ru Ru Jalbidhyut Pariyojana Limited (RURU) faced a decline, losing 10% to close at Rs. 560.70.

 

In terms of sector indices, all the sectors closed in red today. The "Hydropower Index" saw the highest loss of 1.31%, while the "Mutual Fund Index" saw the least loss of 0.01%.
