NEPSE shows green today; index goes up by 15.48 points closing at 1,220.29

The market showed improvement today. NEPSE index has gained 15.48 points or 1.28%. The market had opened at 1,204.82 and within 1 hour 50 minutes the index climbed to around 1218 points, after that slight fluctuations were seen and at the end of the day, the market closed in green at 1,220.29 points.
Total turnover worth Rs 38.71 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 14.27 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day. 5,407 transactions were carried out.
Mega Bank Nepal Ltd. Promoter Share (MEGAPO) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 3.64 crore worth shares were traded. Similarly, it also stood at top in case of number of shares traded as 1.62 lakh unit shares were exchanged.
Likewise, Radhi Bidyut Company (RADHI) was the top gainer of the day as it gained 9.63% and closed at Rs. 205. And, Kabeli Bikas Bank (KEBL) was the top loser of the day losing 5.5% on its price.
The sub-indices for all sectors except Trading and Others inclined and landed in green zone. Insurance sector gained the most by climbing 66.35 points whereas trading sector lost the most today by 3.04 points.
