NEPSE Settles Today's Session With Double-Digit Loss: Market Capitalization Stood at Rs. 44.71 Kharba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 22.35 points (0.82%) to settle at 2,684.01. This follows a 2.40-point gain in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,715.4, touching an intraday high at 2,718.10, while the lowest point was 2,680.45. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 8.37 Arba, with 19,415,688 shares traded across 311 companies through 71,313 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.71 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.16 Kharba.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 80.7 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,322.30.
Mathillo Mailun Khola Jalvidhyut Limited (MMKJL) led the gainers' list with a 6.56% gain each.
Among sectors, the Hotel and Tourism Index sector registered the highest gain, gaining 0.61%, while the Finance Index saw the highest loss at 3.76%.
