NEPSE rises by 15.22 points; Insurance sector gains 101.65 points

On the first trading day of the week, the benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) went up by 15.22 points or 1.30 percent to close at a level of 1183.93. Opening at the 1168.71 level this afternoon, the local bourse continued being in an upward trend. Sensitive index and the float index went up by 3.28 points and 1.18 points respectively. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 46.81 crore where more than 11 lakh unit shares were traded through 2,330 transactions. Except Hotels and Manufacturing & production all other sectors landed in green. Insurance Sector gained 101.65 points, whereas Banking sector gained 16.31 points. ARUNPO, CNDBL, KBL, GBIME, NIBPO, SEOS, HBL, SLICL, NIBSF-1 and SANIMA were among the top traded shares. PURBL, KNBL, UFCL, RHPC, CNDBL, ARUN, BHBL, SLBBL, SFL  and KBL  were among the top gainers of the day. HAMA, HDL, AHPC, MDBL, TDBL, UFIL, NHPC, REDBL, NUBL and MLBBLwere the top losers of the day.
