NEPSE Returns to 2000 Levels, Loses 2.73 Points to Close at 2004.05; Market Cap Stands at Rs. 31.77 Kharba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a slight loss of 0.13%, or 2.73 points, settling at 2,004.05 points at the close of trading today, following a loss of 3.43 points in the previous session.

Opening at 2,007.33, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,011.37 before dipping to an intraday low of 2,000.33.

With a bustling trading environment, 302 different stocks were exchanged in 56,321 transactions. The total volume of shares traded stood at 6,963,359, reflecting a total turnover of Rs. 3.03 Arba. The market capitalization closed at Rs. 31.77 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.73 Kharba.

 

Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) emerged as the highlight of the day with a turnover of Rs. 23.32 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 912.00.

Similarly, Manushi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBS) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MKLB) with a gain of 9.99%.

 

Conversely, People's Power Limited (PPL) faced a decline, losing 7.24% to close at Rs. 564.

 

In terms of sector, Five Sector Indices concluded in positive territory, with the "Microfinance Index" leading with a gain of 2.38%. However, the "Manufacturing And Processing Index" witnessed a decline of 1.61%.
