NEPSE remains above 990; slips meager 0.68 point

NEPSE index dropped meager 0.68 point or 0.07 percent to end at 990.76 level.

Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float slipped 0.33 and 0.13 point to close at 211.91 and 69.35 levels respectively.

Mix trend of buying and selling by investors was seen in the market as the benchmark index moved along the corridor of 4 points within 990 to 994 throughout the day.

The total turnover stood at Rs 455.49 million which included Rs 130.76 million of manual turnover.


Banking, Hotels and HydroPower were the sectors landing in red among which Banking dropped by 3.2 points (882.66 level), Hotels dipped 9.02 points (2054.66 level) and HydroPower plunged 6.16 points (2341 level).

Development and Finance gained 5.61 points (798.46 level) and 0.18 point (528.99 level) respectively.

Similarly Insurance, Manufacturing and Others gained 2.19 points (4141.49 level), 8.94 points (1362.93 level) and 4.7 points (753.07 level) respectively.

Shares of Prabhu Bank were traded maximum today amounting Rs 27.76 million however the price of PRVU dropped by Rs 9 (2.76%) till closing.

Siddhartha Finance share price raised by Rs 14 (9.52%) and of Synergy Finance by Rs 9 (9.18%)

Altogether 1,339,069 unit shares of 146 scrips were traded through 2,929 transactions amounting Rs 455.49 million.
