NEPSE registers gain of 7.03 points; settles at 1,411.52 points with improved turnover of Rs 41.70 Crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has escalated today by 7.03 points or 0.50% to close at 1,411.52 points. index On the last trading day of the week, the only local borse of the country had opened at 1,404.49 points and kept increasing till 1415.06 point after which the slight decline was observed. Nevertheless, the market finally closed positively landing in green. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 41.70 crore where more than 11.56 lakh unit shares were traded through 4,156 transactions. Shares of Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) stood ahead in terms of total turnover with its transaction amount crossing over Rs 4.27 crore. On the other hand, Laxmi Bank Limited (LBL) saw its majority of scrips traded with more than 1.28 lakh unit shares exchanging their ownership. Scrips of Progressive Finance Limited (PROFL) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 9.45% to Rs 220. On the other hand, shares of United Finance Limited (UFL) lost the most today with their value tumbling by Rs 5 to Rs 215. Both the Sensitive and float index went up today by 1.50 points and 0.45 points respectively. Except the indices of hydropower, all the remaining 9 trading groups landed in green today. Insurance sector that gained 16.04 points stood as the top gainer which was followed by microfinance sector.
