NEPSE records minimal growth of 1.92 points,  Transaction still below par at Rs 19.52 crore

The local bourse at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has ended gaining slight increment of 1.92 points to end the day’s trade. The market had started at 1,233.223 points which had dipped to 1,221.95 points at its lowest phase. At the end of the trading period, the market ended gaining 1.92 points or 0.16% to end at 1,235.15 points.

The total turnover for the day was only Rs 19.52 crore from 3,579 transactions. 53,33,944 shares of 154 listed companies were traded during the day.

The scrips of Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) stood ahead in terms of both turnover and units traded. 45,219 units of Nepal Bank Limited were traded for Rs 1.34 crore.

The shareholders of Samata Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMATA) earned the most today as the price of the shares increased by 178 points. Similarly, the shareholders of Radhi Bidyut Company (RADHI) lost the most in today’s trade period as the price of the stock decreased by 31 points.

Both the sensitive and float index increased by 0.42 points and 0.12 points respectively.

Out of the sub-indices, Banking, Development Bank, Finance and Manufacturing & Production lost significant points. Manufacturing and Production lost 8.18 points and Insurance sector gained 22.52 points.
