The NEPSE index closed at 2,148.16 today after losing 38.61 points from last trading day. This is a loss of 1.77%. The index had lost 6.71 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,191.49 points and went intraday high at 2,193.35. Then, the index made intraday low at 2,147.70 and ultimately closed at 2,148.16.
215 scrips traded hands via 56,819 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 8,569,005 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.768 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 4.029 Arba.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 25.22 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 805 per share. The shares of Api Power Company Ltd. (API) traded the most.
Balephi Hydropower Limited (BHL) gained highest 9.98% and technically hit positive circuit for the day.
On the other side of things, United IDI Mardi RB Hydropower Limited. (UMRH) lost the highest 9.52% today.
All sector indices closed red, "Trading" lost the highest 5.13% while "Non Life Insurance" lost the least 0.56%.
