NEPSE Plunged Further 2.57 Points To Close at 1,956.36; Four Sectors Close Green Led by "Life Insurance"

The NEPSE index closed at 1,956.36 today after losing 2.57 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.13%. The index had lost 6.43 points yesterday.

The index opened at 1,959.22 and made intraday low at 1,948.35. It then made intraday high at 1,966.41 and ultimately closed at 1,956.36.

226 scrips traded hands via 18,472 transactions. A total of 2,773,737 shares exchanged hands amounting to only Rs. 1.053 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 2.109 Arba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 8.5 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 663 per share. The shares of Citizens Bank International Limited (CZBIL) traded the most.

Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) Limited (LICN) gained the highest 4.22% for the day.

On the other side of things, Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd (KMCDB) lost 5.77% today.

Only four sector indices closed green, "Trading" lost the highest 1.56% while "Life Insurance" gained the highest 1.03%.
