NEPSE Plunged 1.50% to Close at 1,966.37 Index, Intraday Turnover Increases to Rs. 1.491 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 1,966.37 today after losing 29.89 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.50%. The index had lost 36.07 points yesterday.
The index opened at 1,999.05, and the intraday lowest was 1,945.42. It then made intraday high at 1,999.08 and ultimately closed at 1,966.37.
229 scrips traded hands via 30,602 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 4,182,369 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.491 Arba in the turnover amount. This higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 1.185 Arba.
Total market capitalisation stood Rs 28.01 kharba. The investors have lost Rs 16.5 kharba since NEPSE had made an all-time high on 18th August 2021. And Rs 42.58 billion since yesterday.
Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 12.57 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 865. The shares of Bank of Kathmandu Ltd. (BOKL) traded the most.
Adhikhola Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (AKBSL) and CYC Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (CYCL) gained highest 9.99% each and technically hit positive circuit for the day.
On the other side of things, Balephi Hydropower Limited (BHL) lost the highest 8.76%.
All sector indices closed red, “Trading" lost the highest 2.5% while "Others" lost the least 0.03%.
