NEPSE Lost Highest In Last 5 Months; Plunged 3.61% With Rs 1.64 Arba Turnover

The NEPSE index closed at 2,265.52 today after losing 84.90 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 3.61%. The index had lost 18.64 points last Thursday.

The index opened at 2,350.42 points which is also the intraday high. It then made intraday low at 2,263.30 and closed at 2,265.52.

221 scrips traded hands via 33,611 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 3,595,748 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.644 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 2.328 Arba.

Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (JALPA) had the highest turnover of Rs. 9.79 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 2,270 per share. The shares of National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) traded the most.

Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SLBSL) gained the highest 4.96%.

On the other side of things, three scrips lost all 10% today.

All sector indices closed red, "Others" lost the highest 5.83% while "Mutual Fund" lost the least 1.58%.
