NEPSE Loses Double Digits to Close at 2,106.16; Intraday Turnover Stands at Rs. 2.857 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,106.16 today after losing 17.67 points from last trading day. This is a loss of 0.83%. The index had gained 10.27 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,128.19 points and went intraday high at 2,140.26. Then, the index made intraday low at 2,102.25 and ultimately closed at 2,106.16.

214 scrips traded hands via 44,553 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 6,527,414 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.857 Arba in the turnover amount. This is high than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 2.673 Arba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 20.71 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 764 per share. The shares of National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) traded the most.

Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) and Himalayan Hydropower Limited (HHL) gained highest 10% each and hit positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, Janaki Finance Company Limited (JFL) lost the highest 4.31% today.

Only two sector indices closed green, "Others" lost the highest 2.42% while "Mutual Fund" gained the highest 0.27%.
